Idiopathic atrial fibrillation patients rapidly outgrow their low thromboembolic risk: a  10-year follow-up study.

CONCLUSION: The majority of recently diagnosed healthy AF patients develop cardiovascular diseases with a consequent change in thromboembolic risk profile within a short time frame.
