The management of chronic pain and also pre and post-operative pain is crucial for the recovery and acceleration of the healing processes.1 Opioids and non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are commonly used for these purposes.2 It should be highlighted that both the opioids and NSAIDs have some significant limitations. Opioids may increase the chance of death due to respiratory depression, and increase patients discomfort by constipation.
