Ischemic Stroke in Oncological Patients (P1.117)

Conclusions :In our series, serum DD levels, a marker of a hypercoagulable state, appear as a useful tool to identify patients with cryptogenic stroke and risk for underlying malignancy; while classical CRF failed to show differences between both groups (IS-C vs IS-nC). Interestingly, our patients showed a prevalence of a single vascular lesion subtype, against other previous series that reported a predominant pattern of multiple-lesions.Disclosure: Dr. Gatto has received personal compensation for activities with Tuteur, Bago, Novartis, and Glaxo-Smith Klein as a speaker and a scientific advisor.
