New study suggests children with cardiomyopathy benefit from treating entire family

(Wayne State University - Office of the Vice President for Research) Recently published in the Journal of Pediatrics, a long-term study initiated by the Children's Hospital of Michigan DMC and Wayne State University shows how more severe cases of pediatric cardiomyopathy-linked heart disease are associated with reduced 'quality of life and functional status,' which can have a negative impact on families of the patients and thus contribute to poor outcomes.
