The perioperative period of heart transplantation is affected by thyroid hormone status

CONCLUSIONS: We conclude that TH status plays a fundamental role in HTx patients, and extended monitoring of TH status in the perioperative period is highly advised as it might contribute to fewer complications and better survival in the short- and long-term.PMID:38613807 | DOI:10.1089/thy.2023.0628
