Trends in Pediatric Lung Transplantation Following the Height of the COVID-19 Pandemic
Purpose: The landscape of diagnostic indications for lung transplantation (LTX) in children is changing. We previously showed a reduction in pediatric LTX for cystic fibrosis (CF) in the U.S. The most notable attrition was in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With data previously only available through September 2021, it was unclear if this change would continue post-pandemic. Here, we provide an update on the trends in pediatric LTX in the U.S.
