Chemotherapy-related trigeminal and glossopharyngeal nerves neurotoxicity: A cohort study
Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) is an injury to the sensory, motor and autonomic peripheral nerves, affecting both the A β fibers (myelinated fibers involved in the tactile and vibratory sense), Aδ (finely myelinated fibers involved in the perception of cold, temperature and pain) and C (unmyelinated fibers involved in the perception of hot temperature and thermal pain), as showed on table 1. PN can affect a single nerve (mononeuropathy), two or more nerves in different areas (multiple mononeuropathy), or many nerves (polyneuropathy).
