CMS Prescription Trends for Quetiapine are Increasing: Can This Be Secondary to Off-Label Use?

Quetiapine is an atypical antipsychotic that is FDA approved for the treatment of schizophrenia, acute mania in bipolar 1 disorder, bipolar depression, and as an adjunct in major depressive disorder (MDD). Here we present information on the trends of the prescription of quetiapine from the center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) database.
