In reply to the Letter to the Editor regarding “Management of the neck in T1 and T2 buccal squamous cell carcinoma”

We thank the authors of the Letter to the Editor for their interest in our recently published study on neck management in early stage (T1 –2) buccal squamous cell carcinoma1. We agree with the authors’ emphasis on the importance of regional control in this high-risk group of patients. Based on the current literature, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines on cancer of the oral cavity have not been able to issu e a definitive recommendation on the role of adjuvant therapy in pN1 disease2.
