The expression of corticotropin-releasing hormone family peptides in premalignant and malignant vulvar lesions
ConclusionsStress response system and CRH family peptides seem to have a role in inflammation maintenance and progression of vulvar premalignant lesions to malignancy. It seems that stress peptides may locally modulate the stroma through Fas/FasL upregulation, possibly contributing to vulvar cancer development.
