Cyclosporine A alleviates colitis by inhibiting the formation of neutrophil extracellular traps via the regulating pentose phosphate pathway

CONCLUSION: Our results indicated CsA could alleviate the severity of colitis by decreasing the formation of NETs in vivo. In vitro, CsA reduced ROS-dependent NETs release via downregulating PPP and cellular ROS levels by decreasing G6PD activity directly by activating the P53 protein.PMID:38093197 | PMC:PMC10720086 | DOI:10.1186/s10020-023-00758-8
