The relationship between eating behaviour and metabolic health in aotearoa New Zealand: Preliminary HE ROUROU WAI PAINGA (HRWP) Trial data

Rationale: HRWP is a randomised controlled trial (RCT) of a dietary intervention (rich in fruit, vegetables, legumes, unrefined cereals, and seafood) and behaviour change support designed to explore the role of the intervention diet on metabolic health in those at risk of cardiometabolic disease. Research to date suggests that those with high scores on the Three-factor eating questionnaire r-18 (TFEQ) are at a higher risk of cardiometabolic diseases. Here we present preliminary data on baseline eating behaviours, metabolic syndrome Z score (MetS-Z score), and their associations.
