Front Cover: Does Flavonoid Supplementation Alleviate Non ‐Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease? A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

Mol. Nutr. Food Res. 2023,67,2300480DOI:10.1002/mnfr.202300480Higher flavonoid intake is associated with reduced risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The results of this systematic review and meta-analysis suggest that flavonoid supplementation contributes to the alleviation of NAFLD through exerting beneficial effects on liver function, lipid profile, and inflammation. Subgroup analysis reveals that dihydromyricetin and hesperidin demonstrate the most potency. This is reported by Lu Li, Kexin Ji, Fengqi Du, Nini Jin, Christine Boesch, Mohamed A. Farag, He Li, Xinqi Liu, and Jianbo Xiao in article number2300480.
