A Case of Autoimmune Poly Glandular Glandular Syndrome Type 2 (Schmidt's Syndrome)
CONCLUSION: Autoimmune poly glandular syndrome can be treated with respective substitution therapy. Thyroxine therapy when initiated first may precipitate Addisonian crisis in patients with Schmidt's syndrome through increasing cortisol clearance and metabolic rate as evident in our case. Early detection of the disease and appropriate management may reduce morbidity and mortality significantly in the patients with autoimmune poly glandular syndrome.PMID:37116019
