Mechanisms and Outcomes of Ischemic Stroke in Pregnancy and Postpartum: A Retrospective Cross-Sectional Study (P3.070)

CONCLUSIONS: Women with pregnancy-associated ischemic strokes were younger and had fewer vascular risk factors when compared with other young women with ischemic strokes. Outcomes were similar in the two groups, with a substantial proportion of poor outcomes in both groups. Our results are limited by the small sample size and retrospective nature of the study. Larger studies are needed to better characterize the pathophysiology of pregnancy-associated stroke.Disclosure: Dr. Miller has nothing to disclose. Dr. Yaghi has nothing to disclose.
