Periapical abscess from invisalign?
A friend of mine was diagnosed with periapical abscess and now needs root canal at a young age.
Is this a common complication of invisalign? She never had any tooth sensitivity or toothache other than some pain when changing invisalign trays. Even the abscess doesnt cause any pain, it was just so swollen and was seen on xray, so I assume the nerve is dead. Just don’t know when the nerve died when she did not have any symptoms before.

yearly radiation dose
ASC xray tech came to me and said my radiation level is through the roof (whatver that means. i have to check the mrem on the dosimeter)
and this is only at ASC - excluding in office dosimetry.
are you guys concerned about yearly dosimeter readings and what are you guys doing to lower the dose?
i've been more concerned about lateral views especially - cervical RFAs i work right next to it

Waiting room documentation
Curious how others document the patients you are assessing in the waiting room ? At my main place we have done about 80% initial work ups in the waiting room for more than a year.
We are being asked to see them, dictate a full level 5 H&P and MDM, and order appropriate workup.
Depending on the day, sometimes the patients get labs and X-rays done , usually no meds are given, or only PO/non controls, sometimes they get no meds no labs.

Collections based contract - possible slavery?
If one signs a collection based contract, could the employer theoretically have the signee work for free by not scheduling you any procedures that will collect?
