Differences in Symptoms Following Acupuncture Treatment in Three Case Presentations of Bipolar Disorder: Type 2, Comorbid Anxiety Disorder, and Rapid Cycling Type
CONCLUSIONS: The response to acupuncture treatment may differ according to the classification and pathology of BD, and it may be desirable to perform the acupuncture treatment after evaluating the pathology and estimating the prognosis.PMID:38380171 | PMC:PMC10874810 | DOI:10.1089/acu.2023.0051 (Source: Acupuncture in Medicine)

Attachment styles and associated psychosocial factors in patients at ultra-high risk for psychosis: A systematic review
CONCLUSION: Early detection of patients with UHR and insecure attachment is crucial, since early intervention to address symptoms, mentalization, and attachment is feasible and may lead to an improvement in the remaining associated psychosocial related factors (secure style: better global functioning and less affective and anxious symptoms). Social Anhedonia Accounts for Greater Variance in Internalizing Symptoms than Autism Symptoms in Autistic and Non-Autistic Youth
CONCLUSION: This was the first study to tease out the relative importance of social anhedonia and autism symptoms in understanding psychiatric symptoms in autistic youth. Findings revealed higher rates of social anhedonia in autistic youth. Our results indicate that social anhedonia is an important transdiagnostic trait that plays a unique role in understanding co-occurring depression and social anxiety in autistic youth. Future research should utilize longitudinal data to test the transactional relationships between social anhedonia and internalizing symptoms over time.PMID:38340278 | DOI:10.1007/s10803-024-06266-w (Sourc...
