This study examines Y-chromosome and mtDNA markers in the population of the island of Kiritimati in the context of geographically targeted reference populations from the Pacific. Sensitivity and specificity of the Alvarado Score for the timely differential diagnosis of acute appendicitis for a case series in Samoa
CONCLUSIONS: The Alvarado Score is an effective tool for the timely differential diagnosis of AA in our Samoan context.
