Prevalence and predictors of colorectal cancer screening in the United States: evidence from the HINTS database 2018 to 2020
CONCLUSION: CRC screening rates among adults 45-49 years are low but are increasing steadily. This study examines the prevalence of formal healthcare utilization and associated factors among older adults with low income and health insurance subscription enrolled in a social intervention program (known as the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty [LEAP] program) in Ghana. Cross-sectional data were obtained from an Aging, Health, Lifestyle and Health Services Survey conducted in 2018 among 200 older adults aged 65 years and above enrolled in the LEAP program. Socioeconomic status and cecal adenocarcinoma mortality risk: an American population-based analysis
CONCLUSION: Low socioeconomic status is associated with an increased risk of death in patients with cecal adenocarcinoma in the United States and show different distribution patterns based on population. Equitable implementation of lung cancer screening: avoiding its potential to mirror existing inequities among people who use tobacco
CONCLUSION: The present commentary utilizes information about historical trends in tobacco use to highlight opportunities for targeted outreach efforts to engage communities at high risk with information about the lung cancer screening opportunity.
