Health insurance and contraceptive use, Indonesian Family Planning Census 2021
CONCLUSION: The prevalence of modern contraceptive use in Indonesia is lower than the 75% target of the 2030 sustainable development goals. As national health insurance positively correlated with modern contraceptive use, extending its coverage on remote Indonesian islands is recommended to increase the use of such contraceptive methods in those areas.PMID:37529022 | PMC:PMC10388140 | DOI:10.2471/BLT.22.289438

Complication Analysis in Korean Patients With Hemophilia A From 2007 to 2019: A Nationwide Study by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service Database
CONCLUSION: Viral infections have significantly decreased in Korean patients with HA. The degree of reduction of joint problems was lower than we expected, because it took > 10 years to expand prophylaxis widely. Neurologic sequelae have not decreased; thus, additional efforts to decrease intracranial hemorrhage are needed. We suggest personalized dosing of FVIII and more meticulous care during childbirth to further reduce the complications.PMID:37527912 | DOI:10.3346/jkms.2023.38.e235

J Clin Endocrinol Metab. 2023 Aug 1:dgad449. doi: 10.1210/clinem/dgad449. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe study examined the association between persistence in anti-osteoporotic medication (AOM) and subsequent fractures, allowing for medication switching among patients with osteoporotic fractures. Treatment persistence was defined as whether the patients were on any AOM on a given day of interest with a 45-day grace period. Medication switch was allowed for persistence if remain...

Pattern of use and awareness of side-effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the Jordanian population
Conclusion: Despite the high frequency of NSAID use in the Jordanian general population, there is limited knowledge of their side-effects as well as drug interactions. This is cause for concern, particularly as many participants reported having been prescribed NSAIDs by physicians without adequate patient safety education.PMID:37527416 | DOI:10.1080/07853890.2023.2242248
