Survival outcomes and adverse events in patients with chronic kidney disease after coronary artery bypass grafting and percutaneous coronary intervention: a meta-analysis of propensity score-matching studies
CONCLUSIONS: Our propensity score matching analysis revealed that, based on long-term follow-up outcomes, CABG remains superior to PCI in patients with CKD.PMID:33781160 | DOI:10.1080/0886022X.2021.1903928

In-Hospital Blood Pressure Variability: A Novel Prognostic Marker of Renal Function Decline and Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusion: Greater in-hospital BP variability was associated with renal function decline and cardiovascular events in patients with stable CAD.Kidney Blood Press Res

Coronary artery bypass grafting vs. drug-eluting stent implantation in patients with end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis.
Conclusions: Among patients with CAD and dialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease (CKD), treatment with CABG or PCI with DES exhibited similar long-term outcomes. However, CABG was associated with higher short-term risk of death. Higher mortality was revealed in patients over 65 years and underwent PD. PMID: 31918608 [PubMed - in process]

Clinical outcomes after percutaneous coronary intervention in non-dialysis patients with acute coronary syndrome and advanced renal dysfunction
ConclusionsShort- and long-term prognoses following PCI in non-dialysis patients with ACS and advanced renal dysfunction is still unfavorable. STEMI and Killip classification  ≥ 2 were independent predictors for in-hospital MACCE, and body mass index and serum albumin were for post-discharge MACCE.

Association of the blood urea nitrogen-to-left ventricular ejection fraction ratio with contrast-induced nephropathy in patients with acute coronary syndrome who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention
ConclusionThe BUNEFr may be a useful new predictor of CIN in ACS patients treated with PCI. The inclusion of BUNEFr in a multivariable model could allow improved risk classification in these patients regarding the development of CIN.

Patients with Atrial Fibrillation and Chronic Kidney Disease More Often Undergo Angioplasty of Left Main Coronary Artery – a 867 Patient Study
Conclusion: Patients with CKD had more often permanent type of AF. Percutaneous interventions of the left main coronary artery, the only elective procedures influencing patients ’ prognosis, were done more frequently in CKD patients with AF. In-hospital mortality was significantly higher in patients with severe renal impairment. Despite the higher risk of ischaemic stroke in CKD group the use of oral anticoagulation therapy was significantly less frequent and the patients were deprived of the confirmed benefits of such treatment.Kidney Blood Press Res 2018;43:1796 –1805

Add-On Antihypertensive Medications to Angiotensin-Aldosterone System Blockers in Diabetes: A Comparative Effectiveness Study.
CONCLUSIONS: Compared with thiazide diuretics, calcium channel blockers were associated with a lower risk of significant kidney events and a similar risk of cardiovascular events. Determinants of Mortality in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
In this study we included 293 consecutive patients with CKD who underwent PCI between 1st January 2007 and 30th September 2012. The primary outcome that we studied was all-cause mortality in a follow-up period of 12-69 months (mean 38.8 ± 21.7). Results: Age (p

Circulating tumour necrosis factor receptors 1 and 2 predict contrast‐induced nephropathy and progressive renal dysfunction: A prospective cohort study
ConclusionMarkedly elevated concentrations of circulating TNFRs were correlated with the occurrence of CIN and significantly associated with prolonged renal dysfunction regardless of the development of CIN.
