Stroke prevention and therapy awareness in a large sample of high school students: results of an educational campaign in the Northern-Western Italy
Discussion and conclusionWe demonstrated that our educational campaign obtained an important improvement of stroke awareness in our sample. Girl students, Lyceum students, and less young students attained significant better knowledge improvement. We hope that the enhanced awareness might induce a more frequent diffusion of prevention strategies, an increased capacity of recognizing onset stroke symptoms with shortening of patients ’ presentation in the emergency room of the hospitals when they can undergo reperfusion treatments.

The Impact of Online Learning System on Students Affected with Stroke Disease
Behav Neurol. 2022 Feb 7;2022:4847066. doi: 10.1155/2022/4847066. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTStroke, also known as a cerebrovascular accident, is a medical emergency that causes temporary or permanent behavioral dysfunction in people. Association Between Carotid Artery Perivascular Fat Density and Embolic Stroke of Undetermined Source
ConclusionWe found increased density in the fat surrounding carotid artery ipsilateral to stroke compared with contralateral in ESUS, suggesting the presence of an inflammatory reaction that extends beyond the vessel lumen in patients with ESUS with a risk factor profile similar to LAA strokes.

Hemodynamic Differences Between Basilar Artery Fenestration and Normal Vertebrobasilar Artery: A Pilot Study
Conclusions: This pilot study suggested that hemodynamic differences between BAF and normal vertebrobasilar artery across multiple shear flow parameters. The disturbed flow in the BAF may increase the risk of thrombus formation, plaque instability, and subsequent ischemic cerebrovascular events. These should be confirmed by future studies.
