The factors associated with the deterioration of activities of daily life in stroke patients: A retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Nearly 1 in 5 stroke patients with independent mobility experienced ADL deterioration at 2 years after discharge. Effect of acupuncture combined with antidepressants on post-stroke depression: A network meta-analysis of nine acupuncture therapy
ConclusionA comparison of the efficacy indicators of the nine different acupuncture therapies combined showed that moxibustion plus antidepressants, conventional acupuncture plus antidepressants and acupressure plus antidepressants were superior in the treatment of PSD. Based on the shortcomings of the existing studies, this conclusion needs to be validated by additional high-quality randomized controlled trials.

ConclusionPatients with post-stroke depression may benefit from repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. However, in terms of the quality of the reports, the methodology, and the quality of the evidence, published systematic evaluations/meta-analyses are of low quality. Psychological impact of COVID-19 containment on CADASIL patients
ConclusionPsychological impact of the containment was limited in CADASIL patients and did not appear related to the disease status. About 9% of patients presented with significant posttraumatic and stressor-related disorder manifestations which were predicted by living alone, unemployment, or exhaustion related to parental burden.

Activation of CREB-BDNF Pathway in Pyramidal Neurons in the Hippocampus Improves the Neurological Outcome of Mice with Ischemic Stroke
In this study, overexpression of CREB protein in pyramidal neurons in vCA1 by AAV virus significantly upregulated the content of BDNF and ameliorated the dysfunction induced by ischemic stroke. Our results demonstrated activation of the CREB-BDNF pathway in vCA1 pyramidal neurons significantly improved neurological deficits, pain perception, anxiety, and depression induced by ischemic stroke.

Health literacy is associated with less depression symptoms, higher perceived recovery, higher perceived participation, and walking ability one year after stroke - a cross-sectional study
CONCLUSION: The association between health literacy and mental, physical, and social functioning 12-months post-discharge suggests that health literacy is an important factor to consider in post-stroke rehabilitation.
