Analysis of 565 thrombectomies for anterior circulation stroke: A Brazilian registry
CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates the efficacy and safety of mechanical thrombectomy for treatment of patients with AIS of the anterior circulation in real-life conditions under limited facilities and resources. Aortic and supra-aortic arterial tortuosity and access technique: Impact on time to device deployment in stroke thrombectomy.
CONCLUSION: CTA-based ASMETS can predict time between arterial puncture and deployment of the mechanical thrombectomy device in stroke patients, irrespective of the technique used to catheterise the target ICA. Single Centre Experience on Decision Making for Mechanical Thrombectomy Based on Single-Phase CT Angiography by Including NCCT and Maximum Intensity Projection Images - A Comparison with Magnetic Resonance Imaging after Non-Contrast CT.
Conclusion: A single-phase CTA including NCCT and MIP images was performed as a single preliminary examination, which led to a reduction in the time of the procedure and resulted in good results of prognosis. Unexpected complication of arteriovenous fistula of the left common carotid to internal jugular vein following central venous catheterization.
Abstract Incidence of inadvertent arterial puncture secondary to central venous catheter insertion is not common with an arterial puncture rate of <1%. Endovascular treatment of stroke in children under 2 years with heart failure and ventricular assist device.
CONCLUSION: As a result of the difficulty in performing arterial puncture, the small vessel calibre and the limitation in the use of iodated contrast, there are certain limitations to endovascular treatment of strokes in children that can lead to complications.
