Long-Term Follow-up of Incidental Intracranial Aneurysms in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusions: In our study, the prevalence of incidental aneurysm among acute ischemic stroke patients was 6.1%. After 2 years of follow-up, there was no aneurysm rupture or subarachnoid hemorrhage, and the diameter and shape of aneurysms did not change except for 1 patient in whom the aneurysm disappeared.

The Detrimental Effect of Aging on Leptomeningeal Collaterals in Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: Our findings show that there is a significant interplay between patient age and adequacy of leptomeningeal collateral circulation in patients with proximal MCA occlusion. The relationship could contribute to adverse tissue outcome and thereby to unfavorable clinical outcome observed in elderly patients with ischemic stroke.

Distance to Thrombus in Acute Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion: A Predictor of Outcome After Intravenous Thrombolysis for Acute Ischemic Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusion— DT is an independent predictor of clinical outcome in patients with acute MCA occlusion treated with IVT. In acute stroke with MCA occlusion confirmed by CT angiography and DT <16 mm, the likelihood of a good clinical outcome after treatment with IVT was exponentially <50%. This might warrant the evaluation of other therapy forms than IVT in patients with proximal MCA occlusion.

Young-aged stroke in Korea: changing patterns of risk factors and etiologies (P7.120)
CONCLUSIONS: Compared to the previous study, the proportion of male to female ratio decreased. While smoking and drinking rates decreased in male, metabolic risk factors such as diabetes and dyslipidemia increased in both genders, which explain the increasing proportion of large artery atherosclerotic disease in female patients. The proportion of strokes associated with artery dissection increased, which may be due to the use of advanced diagnostic tools. Endovascular treatment in patients with acute ischemic stroke and apparent occlusion of the extracranial internal carotid artery on CTA
Conclusions In cases of acute stroke and apparent occlusion of the extracranial ICA, intra-arterial treatment should be considered, especially when IVT fails and <15% of the hemisphere is infarcted on CT. Endovascular treatment may be beneficial especially in pseudo-occlusions but also in true occlusions of the extracranial ICA.

Initial factors affecting the clinical outcome after successful recanalization via MR-based mechanical thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion
Conclusions Patients with AIS caused by BAO with a lower initial NIHSS score, fewer lesions on initial DWI, and less contrast staining on the post-thrombectomy control CT have higher probabilities of a good clinical outcome after successful recanalization via a mechanical thrombectomy.

Proteinuria as an independent risk factor for contrast-induced acute kidney injury and mortality in patients with stroke undergoing cerebral angiography
Conclusions Proteinuria is an independent risk factor for CI-AKI and 1-year mortality in patients with stroke undergoing cerebral angiography. More attention should be paid to the development of CI-AKI in patients with stroke with proteinuria.
