Predictors of Reperfusion in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke BRAIN
CONCLUSIONS: Recanalization and reperfusion are strongly associated but not always equivalent in ischemic stroke. A smaller total ischemic area is the only independent predictor of complete reperfusion.

Outcomes between in-hospital stroke and community-onset stroke after thrombectomy: Propensity-score matching analysis
CONCLUSION: Patients with in-hospital stroke had more disadvantageous comorbidities than those with community-onset stroke. Cardiac dysfunction seems to be associated with poor outcomes after thrombectomy. Risk of First and Recurrent Stroke in Childhood Cancer Survivors Treated With Cranial and Cervical Radiation Therapy
Conclusion: Cranial irradiation puts childhood cancer survivors at high risk of both first and recurrent stroke. Stroke prevention strategies for these survivors are needed.

Clinical Risk Factors and CT Imaging Features of Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaques as Predictors of New Incident Carotid Ischemic Stroke: A Retrospective Cohort Study EXTRACRANIAL VASCULAR
CONCLUSIONS: Our new paradigm of using age ≥75 years, history of hypertension, and carotid maximal wall thickness of >4 mm identified most of the patients with subsequent new carotid stroke in our study. It is simple and may help clinicians choose the patients at greatest risk of developing a carotid infarct, warranting validation with a prospective observational study.

The Risk of Stroke and TIA in Nonstenotic Carotid Plaques: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis EXTRACRANIAL VASCULAR
CONCLUSIONS: The risk of recurrent stroke/TIA in nonstenotic carotid plaques is not negligible, especially in the presence of high-risk plaque features. Further research is needed to better define the significance of nonstenotic carotid plaques for stroke etiology.

Nonstenotic Carotid Plaques in Ischemic Stroke: Analysis of the STRATIS Registry EXTRACRANIAL VASCULAR
CONCLUSIONS: Nonstenotic carotid plaques were significantly associated with ipsilateral stroke in cardioembolic and cryptogenic stroke groups, and there was an association of plaque irregularity and hypodense plaque with ipsilateral stroke in the cryptogenic group, suggesting these plaques could be a potential cause of stroke in these patient subgroups.

Value of Intraplaque Neovascularization on Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasonography in Predicting Ischemic Stroke Recurrence in Patients With Carotid Atherosclerotic Plaque
