Depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress, and the way of coping emotions as risk factors for ischemic stroke and their influence on stroke severity: A case –control study in Lebanon
ConclusionDespite several limitations, the findings of our study suggest that people who are depressed or stressed are more likely to have an ischemic stroke. Consequently, additional research into the causes and effects of depression and perceived stress may provide new directions for preventive strategies that can help reduce the risk of stroke. Development of a Diagnosis Score for Stroke in the Lebanese Population
In conclusion, the DS-Stroke is a useful tool for emergency physicians, non-specialists and front-line clinicians. It is a good diagnosis tool for use to diagnose stroke at emergency, call for further emergency testing if necessary and speed up treatment.

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 1487: Eating Behaviors, Lifestyle, and Ischemic Stroke: A Lebanese Case-Control Study
Conclusions: Ischemic stroke patients were more likely to have disordered eating attitudes and orthorexic behaviors. Furthermore, the MeD has been found to be beneficial in reducing ischemic stroke risk. Despite the study’s focus, outdoor pollution, waterpipe dependence, and passive smoking were linked to ischemic stroke. In summary, this review suggests that improving one’s nutritional status and making a few lifestyle changes are key stroke prevention and treatment methods.

Factors associated with cognitive impairment at 3, 6, and 12 months after the first stroke among Lebanese survivors
ConclusionThe risk of PSCI among Lebanese stroke survivors was high especially in the acute phase, depending on various determinants. Health care providers are invited to implement an emergency rehabilitation program for an appropriate successful management of the risk factors in order to reduce stroke burden and to improve overall cognitive performance.

Assessment of the incidence and risk factors of early poststroke seizures in Lebanese patients
ConclusionThe findings of the study highlight that early seizures occurred more commonly in patients with cortical involvement and female gender. In addition, early seizures did not impair functional outcome in our study, however; further studies are needed to predict patients at risk of early seizure so that appropriate prevention and treatment strategies can be implemented promptly.
