E-268 Large vessel occlusion stroke transfers achieve faster arrival-to-puncture times and improved outcomes with direct-to-endovascular suite protocol
ConclusionIn a hub-and-spoke telestroke network, accepting transferred patients directly to the angio-suite was associated with dramatically reduced arrival-to-puncture time and may lead to improved 90-day outcomes. Direct-to-angio-suite protocols should continue to be evaluated in other regions and telestroke models.Disclosures R. Regenhardt: None. J. Rosenthal: None. A. Dmytriw: None. J. Vranic: None. A. E-023 Predictors of outcomes in tandem anterior circulation occlusions following mechanical thrombectomy
In this study, we present outcomes of patients undergoing tandem mechanical thrombectomy. We demonstrate that stenting is associated with improved final reperfusion, but increased odds of asymptomatic ICH. Additional clinical trials should be performed to optimize the procedure and improve patient outcomes.Disclosures J. Catapano: None. D. Farhadi: None. A. Naik: None. S. Koester: None. E. E-030 Feasibility and safety of mechanical thrombectomy for sole primary angular artery M3 and M4 MCA occlusions
ConclusionAngular artery occlusions often present with disabling symptoms, commonly including speech deficits and limb paresis. Our limited data suggests that mechanical thrombectomy of the angular artery is feasible and safe. As with thrombectomy in other vascular territories, and amongst other factors, patient outcome is influenced by grade of reperfusion.Disclosures A. Kuhn: None. J. Singh: None. F. Massari: None. A. E-119 Predictors of first pass efficacy in posterior circulation acute ischemic strokes
ConclusionFPE is a crucial predictor of successful ET in pcAIS, emphasizing the FPE and faster revascularization as role players in clinical outcomes of pcAIS. Atrial fibrillation and previous AIS independently predict FPE. The discrepancy in FPE rates by clot composition is illustrated by the higher rates of FPE in atrial fibrillation patients. Therefore, future histological and clinical studies are warranted to further address the clinical features of ischemic clots.Disclosures M. Hafeez: None. M. Essibayi: None. D. Raper: None. S. E-216 Stroke thrombectomy outcomes by biological sex - a multicenter study from the star collaboration
ConclusionsOlder females with higher baseline disability are more likely to undergo mechanical thrombectomy compared to males. Biological sex is not an independent predictor of thrombectomy outcomes in acute stroke when controlling for baseline and comorbid variables. P-030 Mechanical thrombectomy in medium vessel occlusions using the novel aspiration MIVI Q catheters: an international multicenter experience
ConclusionsTreatment of MeVO patients with Q catheters resulted in optimal angiographic and clinical outcomes. Though angiographic results were similar between primary and secondary MeVOs, the first had less severe presentation and better outcomes at 90-days than the latter.Disclosures A. Monteiro: None. L. Aetiology, secondary prevention strategies and outcomes of ischaemic stroke despite oral anticoagulant therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation
Conclusions Stroke despite anticoagulation comprises heterogeneous aetiologies and cardioembolism despite sufficient anticoagulation is most common. While DOAC were associated with better outcomes than VKA, adding antiplatelets was linked to worse outcomes in these high-risk patients. Our findings indicate that individualised and novel preventive strategies beyond the currently available anticoagulants are needed. Trial registration number ISRCTN48292829.

032 Improving access to inpatient ambulatory cardiac monitoring for acute stroke patients during the Covid-19 pandemic
Discussion There was a significant shift in clinical practice and diagnostic access to inpatient ACM during the pandemic, resulting in a greater proportion of tests, increased identification of AF and early anticoagulation, leading to improved patient care and potentially preventing further ischaemic events. harriet jeffery@nhs.net|ABN Bursary 41
