Interventions designed to divert frequent ED users should focus on chronic disease management and access to outpatient services, particularly for Medicaid beneficiaries and other high risk subpopulations.

Thromboembolic stroke: a sequela of Hymenoptera venom–induced anaphylaxis
The potential for anaphylaxis to Hymenoptera stings is well known. Anaphylaxis often occurs after a number of uneventful prior stings.1 In the United States, a Hymenoptera sting can lead to a systemic allergic reaction in 3% of adults and accounts for more deaths than any other envenomation.1 Thromboembolic stroke associated with Hymenoptera venom–induced anaphylaxis has not been documented in the literature.

ANCA-Negative Churg –Strauss Syndrome Presenting as Acute Multiple Cerebral Infarcts: A Case Report
We report a case of a 63-year-old woman with multiple embolic infarcts, hypereosinophilia (for>7 years), and skin rash. Elevated cardiac enzymes and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging were consistent with endomyocarditis. The simultaneous presence of history of asthma, sinusitis, hypereosinophilia, and vasculitis led to the diagnosis of EGPA.
