CONCLUSION: Patients with hypertension, large infarction lesions, high NIHSS score at admission, atrial fibrillation, and small artery occlusion cerebral infarction can increase the risk of bleeding transformation in patients with cerebral infarction. Association of polygenic risk scores with incident atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease events among individuals with coronary artery calcium score of zero: The multi-ethnic study of atherosclerosis
CONCLUSIONS: Among individuals with CAC = 0, the ASCVD PRS was associated with incident ASCVD events. This appears to be driven by genetic variants related to stroke but not CHD, and particularly among women and non-Whites. Association between serum calcium levels and first stroke: A community-based nested case-control study
ConclusionsOur results suggested a U-shaped association between serum calcium and first stroke; both low and high serum calcium levels were associated with an increased risk of the first stroke in the Chinese population.
