Associations Between Adherence to Evidence-Based, Stroke Quality Indicators and Outcomes of Acute Reperfusion Therapy
CONCLUSIONS: We demonstrated national marked and sustainable improvement in adherence to door-to-needle time, door-to-puncture time, and successful reperfusion from 2013 to 2017 in Japan in patients with acute ischemic stroke. The Effect of Chronic Disease Management Program on the Risk of Complications in Patients With Hypertension in Korea
CONCLUSION: The results showed that participants of the chronic disease management program were less likely to have hypertension complications compared to non-participants. Cancers, Vol. 14, Pages 2977: Association between Breast Cancer and Second Primary Lung Cancer among the Female Population in Taiwan: A Nationwide Population-Based Cohort Study
Conclusion: Patients with breast cancer had a significantly higher risk of developing second primary lung cancer compared with patients without breast cancer, particularly in younger groups and in those without any comorbidities. The special association may be attributed to some potential risk factors such as genetic susceptibility and long-term exposure to PM2.5, and is supposed to increase public awareness. Further studies are necessary given the fact that inherited genotypes, different subtypes of breast cancer and lung cancer, and other unrecognized etiologies may play vital roles in both cancers’ development.

Prevalence and associated relating factors in patients with hereditary retinal dystrophy: a nationwide population-based study in Taiwan
CONCLUSIONS: 74% of the diagnosed HRD are retinitis pigmentosa. Population-based data suggested an increased incidence of cataract in younger patients, whereas older HRD patients are more susceptible to develop CME. Hospitalization for adverse events under abiraterone or enzalutamide exposure in real-world setting: a French population-based study on prostate cancer patients
CONCLUSION: Our study provides knowledge on abiraterone and enzalutamide real-life safety profiles, especially for events leading to hospitalisation. Despite several limitations, including the lack of clinical data, the safety signal for AKI under abiraterone is in line with results of an analysis of the French pharmacovigilance database, which requires further specific investigations. Enlightening the clinicians' therapeutic choices for patients treated for prostate cancer, our study should lead to clinicians to be cautious in the use of abiraterone.PMID:34224605 | DOI:10.1111/bcp.14972

Association of physical activity with stroke among long-term colorectal cancer survivors
ConclusionsModerate frequency of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (5-9 time/week) and walking (4-5 time/week) significantly lowers the risk of stroke, whereas high-frequency physical activity reduces the benefits of physical activity.Implications for Cancer SurvivorsPhysical activity with moderate frequency is important in the prevention of stroke for long-term colorectal cancer survivors.

Association between physical activity and subsequent cardiovascular disease among 5-year breast cancer survivors
ConclusionsThe study showed that even small amounts of PA may be beneficial in potentially decreasing the risk of CVD, CHD, and stroke in breast cancer survivors. Our result will be useful to prescribe and delivery exercise among long-term breast cancer survivors.

Impact of previous percutaneous coronary intervention on cardiovascular outcomes and mortality after lung cancer surgery: A nationwide study in Korea
ConclusionsPatients who underwent PCI before surgery for lung cancer were at a higher risk of death than those in the non ‐PCI group at one year after surgery. In addition, they showed higher short‐ and long‐term risks of revascularization than patients in the non‐PCI group. Careful long‐term management of cardiovascular risk is necessary for this population.

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists, anti-androgens and the risk of cardio-cerebrovascular disease in prostate cancer patients: an asian population-based observational study
Conclusions: The current study based on Asian population suggests that treatment with neither GnRH agonist nor antiandrogens increases the risk of cardio-cerebrovascular disease compared to patients with ADT-naïve prostate cancer.

Accelerated Risk of Premature Ischemic Stroke in 5‐Year Survivors of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Conclusion.Not only was the stroke risk in NPC survivors higher than that in the general population, but the onset age was also 10 years earlier.
