Incidental Finding of Arteria Lusoria in COVID-19 Patient with Aortic Thrombus Complicated by Recurrent Limb Ischemia
We report the case of a 64-year-old woman with recent severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pneumonia who was admitted to the hospital due to a giant floating thrombus in the ascending aorta with multiple ischemic events. Aortic computed tomography angiogram revealed an aberrant right subclavian artery associated with bicarotid trunk that might have protected carotid arteries from embol migration. The Great Contrast Shortage of 2022 —Lessons learnt in Australia
ConclusionOur findings demonstrate that the IBCM shortage crisis had a very significant impact on the delivery of healthcare. While V/Q scans could (partially) substitute for CTPA studies in suspected pulmonary emboli, there appeared to be no valid alternative for CTNA studies in stroke calls. The unexpected and critical shortage of IBCM forced healthcare professionals to conserve resources, prioritise indications, triage patients based on risk, explore alternate imaging strategies and prepare for similar events recurring in the future.

Inactivated whole-virion SARS-CoV-2 vaccines and long-term clinical outcomes in patients with coronary atherosclerosis disease in China: a prospective cohort study

Ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion in a puerperal patient with SARS-CoV-2 infection
CONCLUSION: Severe SARS-CoV-2 disease results in a prothrombotic state that correlates with the prognosis of the disease. The last trimester of pregnancy and the puerperium are known prothrombotic risk factors. Recommendations for anticoagulation management in pregnant patients with COVID-19 are based on limited evidence. Focal cerebral arteriopathy in a young adult following SARS-CoV2 reinfection
Ten days after SARS-Cov2 reinfection with mild gastrointestinal symptoms and headache that occurred 2 months after an initial infection, a previously healthy 37-year-old woman developed fluctuating facial and upper limb paresthesia and weakness. Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging revealed ischemic lesions in the right parietal region of different stages within the same vascular territory. A cerebral angiography demonstrated an isolated focal arteriopathy with no other arterial involvement.
