The butterfly effect: improving brain cone-beam CT image artifacts for stroke assessment using a novel dual-axis trajectory
Conclusions
Recent developments in CBCT imaging protocols have significantly improved image artifacts, which has improved diagnostic confidence for stroke and supports a direct-to-angiography suite transfer approach for patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Sex differences in endovascular thrombectomy outcomes in large vessel occlusion: a propensity-matched analysis from the SELECT study
Conclusion
In a propensity-matched cohort from the SELECT study, women had similar discharge outcomes as men following EVT, but the improvement from discharge to 90 days was significantly worse in women, suggesting the influence of post-discharge factors. Further exploration of this phenomenon to identify target interventions is warranted.

Combined balloon guide catheter, aspiration catheter, and stent retriever technique versus balloon guide catheter and stent retriever alone technique: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion
There was no significant difference in successful reperfusion and FPE between the combined techniques and the stent retriever and BGC alone groups. Neither was there any difference in functional outcomes, complications, or mortality.

Operator assessment versus core laboratory adjudication of recanalization following endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion
Operator angiographic reads are statistically significantly higher than core laboratory-read readings following stroke thrombectomy, especially for complete recanalization. These differences should be considered when interpreting reports of angiographic outcomes after thrombectomy.

How to perform intra-aneurysmal coil embolization after Pipeline deployment: a study from a hemodynamic viewpoint
Conclusion
Adjunct coiling could improve the post-PED hemodynamic environment in treated intracranial aneurysms. However, dense packing is not necessary because the intra-aneurysmal hemodynamics tend to stabilize as the packing density reaches an average of 7.06% or after insertion of the second coil.

Falsely normal CT perfusion ischemic core readings are common and often associated with deep infarcts
Conclusions
CTP may completely fail to detect ischemic core in as many as 25% of cases, especially in isolated deep MCA strokes. Technical refinements of the post-processing algorithms are therefore warranted. TMC infarcts may have a lower risk of reperfusion hemorrhage, potentially due to greater preservation of the neurovascular unit structure in face of delayed recovery of cerebral blood flow.

Machine learning and acute stroke imaging
Conclusions
ML in acute ischemic stroke imaging has already made tremendous headway. Additional applications and further integration with clinical care is inevitable. Thus, facility with these approaches is critical for the neurointerventional clinician.

Benefit and risk of intravenous alteplase in patients with acute large vessel occlusion stroke and low ASPECTS
Conclusions
Bridging IVT in patients with low ASPECTS was associated with very poor functional outcome and an increased risk of sICH. The benefit of this treatment should therefore be carefully weighed in such scenarios. Further randomized controlled trials are required to validate our findings.

Effect of intravenous thrombolysis before endovascular therapy on outcome according to collateral status: insight from the ETIS Registry
Conclusions
Collateral status does not modify the effect of pretreatment IVT on the efficacy and safety outcomes of EVT.

Predictors of parenchymal hemorrhage after endovascular treatment in acute ischemic stroke: data from ANGEL-ACT Registry
Conclusions
In Chinese patients with AIS caused by anterior circulation LVO, the risk of PH was positively associated with low admission ASPECTS, serum glucose >7 mmol/L, and NLR, but negatively related to underlying ICAS and intracranial angioplasty/stenting.

Aspiration thrombectomy versus stent retriever thrombectomy alone for acute ischemic stroke: evaluating the overlapping meta-analyses
Conclusions
Present evidence is insufficient to clarify the superiority of one modality over the other. Further RCTs on this comparison must be conducted prior to designing further meta-analyses or making conclusive interpretations. Procedure duration and cost should be taken into consideration for any future studies.

Cost-effectiveness of thrombectomy in patients with minor stroke and large vessel occlusion: effect of thrombus location on cost-effectiveness and outcomes
Conclusions
EVT is cost-effective in patients with minor stroke and LVO in the long term (lifetime horizon), considering the poor outcomes and significant disability associated with non-reperfusion. Our study emphasizes the need for caution in interpreting previous observational studies which concluded similar results in EVT versus medical management in patients with minor stroke due to a high proportion of patients with M2 occlusions in the two strategies.

Economic evaluation of intravenous alteplase for stroke with the time of onset between 4.5 and 9 hours
Conclusion
For patients with AIS with a time of onset between 4.5 and 9 hours, perfusion imaging-guided intravenous alteplase was likely to be cost-effective in China and was cost-effective in the US when compared with placebo.
