Tick-borne Encephalitis: Stroke-like Presentation
We report a unique case of clinical symptoms and radiological findings compatible with a stroke-like inflammatory lesion in the thalamus, suggesting microangiopathy from TBEV. Our case shows that TBEV could be a possible cause of stroke-like lesions.

Shengui Sansheng San Ameliorates Cerebral Energy Deficiency via Citrate Cycle After Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion In summary, SSS extraction significantly ameliorates cerebral energy metabolism via boosting citrate cycle, which mainly embodies the enhancements of blood glucose concentration, glucose and lactate transportation and glucose utilization, as well as the regulations of relative enzymes activities in citrate cycle. These ameliorations ultimately resulted in numerous ATP yield after stroke, which improved neurological function and infarcted volume. Forty-four-year longitudinal study of stroke incidence and risk factors - the Prospective Population Study of Women in Gothenburg
CONCLUSIONS: Several classic risk factors showed independent associations with stroke. Vulnerability factors as low education and oral health, reflected by loss of teeth, also showed association with stroke. Adult offspring and their socioeconomic resources for development and survival of stroke: A Swedish and Danish nationwide register-based study
CONCLUSIONS: Adult offspring socioeconomic resources are, independently of how we measure them and of individual socioeconomic characteristics, associated with development of stroke in old age in both Denmark and Sweden. Impact of the Swedish National Stroke Campaign on stroke awareness
ConclusionThe nationwide campaign substantially increased knowledge about the AKUT test and intention to call 112 when experiencing or observing stroke symptoms, but knowledge declined post‐intervention. Repeated public information therefore appears essential to sustain knowledge gains.

Occupational noise exposure and risk of incident stroke: a pooled study of five Scandinavian cohorts
Conclusions We found no association between occupational noise and risk of overall stroke after adjustment for confounders. However, the non-significantly increased risk of ischaemic stroke warrants further investigation.

Assessing environmental barriers by means of the swedish craig hospital inventory of environmental factors among people post-stroke.
Conclusion: In this study, the frequency-magnitude of environmental barriers encountered by people post-stroke are reported at a group level and adds information to the cumulative knowledge generation on perceived environmental barriers in the society.
