Risk factors and a prediction model for unruptured intracranial aneurysms in patients with ischemic stroke using carotid intima-media thickness and systemic atherosclerosis
CONCLUSION: The findings revealed that the risk factors for UIA in patients with IS included aspirin use, elevated CRP level, and smaller carotid IMT, and the predictive value of the prediction model was relatively better.PMID:37706007 | PMC:PMC10495834 | DOI:10.3389/fneur.2023.1227673

Analysis of Prognostic Risk Factors of Sepsis Patients With Myocardial Injury: Six-month Survival Outcome
CONCLUSION: In summary, risk factors for poor prognosis in septic patients with myocardial injury included age>64 years, high APACHE II, elevated cTnI, elevated NT-proBNP, elevated CK, elevated CRP, and elevated PCT.PMID:37708545

Sleep duration and risk of stroke and coronary heart disease: a 9-year community-based prospective study of 0.5 million Chinese adults
CONCLUSIONS: While abnormal sleep duration (≤ 6 h or ≥ 9 h) was associated with higher risks of CVD, the risks were more extreme for those reporting ≤ 5 or ≥ 10 h, respectively and such individuals should be prioritised for more intensive treatment for CVD prevention.PMID:37710209 | DOI:10.1186/s12883-023-03367-4

Predictors of failure of early neurological improvement in early time window following endovascular thrombectomy: a multi-center study
ConclusionDiabetes mellitus history, pre-stroke mRS, longer last known well-to-puncture time, lack of modified thrombolysis in cerebral infarction = 3, and the number of mechanical thrombectomy passes are the predictors of FENI. Future large-scale studies are required to validate these findings.

Incidence, characteristics and outcome of post-stroke recrudescence in the Chinese population: a single-centre observational study
Conclusions PSR is not uncommon in patients presenting with stroke symptoms and can be distinguished from TIA and SMs based on a combination of clinical features and trigger in the Chinese population. The neurological deficits of patients with PSR often resolve within several days following the resolution of the trigger.

Remote interventions for informal caregivers of patients with stroke: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions Current evidence suggests that remote interventions for informal caregivers of patients who had a stroke have no significant superiority over traditional interventions. However, the quality of the included studies was low and more high-quality evidence is required to determine the possible impacts of remote interventions. PROSPERO registration number CRD42022313544.

Contralateral needling at the foot of unaffected side combining with rehabilitation treatment for motor dysfunction of hand after ischemic stroke: study protocol for a randomized controlled pilot trial
This study aims to investigate the instant effect of contralateral needling at the foot of the unaffected side combined with the rehabilitation treatment movement for patients with the paretic hand of Poststroke motor dysfunction and provide the previous evidence for the future large sample studies.PMID:37679992 | PMC:PMC10465831 | DOI:10.19852/j.cnki.jtcm.2023.05.007
