Conclusions: Embolism associated with asymptomatic carotid stenosis shows circadian variation with highest rates 4–6 h before midday. Aortic Valvular Papillary Fibroelastoma Leading to Acute Ischemic Stroke in a Pediatric Patient (P1.286)
Conclusions:Previously published cases of children with IS and PF have identified the mitral valve as the site of the PF. Our case demonstrates that aortic valvular PF can be associated with IS in pediatric patients. Multiple Cerebral Infarctions in a Patient with Adenomyosis on Hormone Replacement Therapy: A Case Report
A 59-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of repeated episodes of bilateral hand weakness. She had a 10-year history of combined estrogen –progestin therapy for menopausal symptoms. Magnetic resonance imaging on admission showed multiple hyperintense lesions in bilateral cerebral and cerebellar cortices on diffusion-weighted imaging. Transesophageal echocardiography showed thrombus formation on the aortic valve and moderate aortic i nsufficiency. Laboratory test demonstrated elevated CA125 (334.8 U/mL) and D-dimer (7.0 µg/mL) levels.

Rheumatic Valve Disease and Stroke. A Public Health Problem in Countries in Way of Develop (P1.288)
Conclusions: In our population RVD with or without AF is the main cause of cerebral ischemia, just preceded by thrombosis of large arteries, affecting young and productive people, which severely impacts the economy of families and country that walking towards development. Pontine infarction responsible for wall-eyed bilateral internuclear ophthalmoplegia syndrome
A 68-year-old man with hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, and a mechanical heart valve replacement treated with vitamin K antagonists was admitted for the acute onset of diplopia. Neuro-ophthalmologic examination showed a bilateral exotropia in primary gaze position (wall-eyed) with bilateral adduction deficit that did not improve by convergence (figure, video at Neurology.org/cp). In lateral gaze, a horizontal nystagmus of the abducting eyes appeared. Vertical saccades were normal (video). Pupils were symmetric and reactive to light. Stroke in Patients With Aortic Stenosis: The Simvastatin and Ezetimibe in Aortic Stenosis Study Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— In patients with aortic stenosis not prescribed oral anticoagulation, atrial fibrillation, AVR with concomitant coronary artery bypass grafting, and CHA2DS2-VASc score were the major predictors of stroke.
