Diindolylmethane Ameliorates Ischemic Stroke-Induced Brain Injury by Peripheral and Central Mechanisms
CONCLUSION: This inhibition of platelet aggregation, platelet mediated oxidative stress, and inflammation, improved blood flow, and reduced neurological deficits, brain infarction, BBB leakage, brain water content, and histopathological abnormalities indicate the preservation of brain structural integrity. Therefore, these findings conclude that DIM exhibits neuroprotection by inhibiting platelet aggregation. Thus, the present study provided preclinical evidence of DIM neuroprotection against ischemic stroke.PMID:36397630 | DOI:10.2174/1567202620666221116161128

Vaccine associated benign headache and cutaneous hemorrhage after ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine: A cohort study
Fatal complications have occurred after vaccination with ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, a vaccine against Covid-19. Vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) with severe outcome is characterized by venous thrombosis, predominantly in cerebral veins, thrombocytopenia and anti-PF4/polyanion antibodies. Prolonged headaches and cutaneous hemorrhages, frequently observed after the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine, have therefore caused anxiety among vaccinees. We investigated whether these symptoms represent a mild form of VITT, with a potential for aggravation, e.g.

The application of pre-hospital first aid mode in patients with acute stroke: meta-analysis
Folia Neuropathol. 2022;60(3):284-291. doi: 10.5114/fn.2022.117614.ABSTRACTTo systematically evaluate the application effect of pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency mode in patients with acute stroke. The study was conducted by systematic search of Chinese (CNKI, Wanfang and VIP) and English (PubMed, EMBASE and Cochrane Library) databases. The case-control studies comparing the role of pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency mode for patients with acute stroke were included in this study. Outcome indicators included the time from admission to thrombolytic therapy (DNT), the time from calling for help to receiving professi...
