Adenomyosis-associated recurrent acute cerebral infarction mimicking Trousseau's syndrome: A case study and review of literature
CONCLUSION: Hysterectomy is a radical therapy that is effective in preventing acute CI due to adenomyosis associated with ischemic symptoms.PMID:35509558 | PMC:PMC9063024 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_252_2022

The Aortic Ductus Diverticulum—Innocent Bystander or Potential Source of Thromboembolic Stroke?
Conclusions In the present study, ADDs were not significantly associated with ischemic brain alterations. Therefore, ADDs seem to be an innocent bystander with respect to the pathogenesis of ischemic brain alterations.

Carotid artery stenting without embolic protection: A randomized multicenter trial (the CASWEP trial)
CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that CAS without CPD is not associated with higher rates of peri-procedural TIA, stroke, and death or new ischemic brain lesions on post-procedural DW-MRI compared to CAS with CPD in selected symptomatic and asymptomatic patients with significant carotid artery stenosis provided that there is no visible thrombus.PMID:35469509 | DOI:10.1177/15910199221094388

Effect of Mid-Basilar Artery Angle and Plaque Characteristics on Pontine Infarction in Patients with Basilar Artery Plaque
CONCLUSION: The mid-BA angle may increase the incidence of pontine infarction by increasing the plaque burden.PMID:35418542 | DOI:10.5551/jat.63520

Comparison of magnetic resonance angiography techniques to brain digital subtraction arteriography in the setting of mechanical thrombectomy: A non-inferiority study
CONCLUSION: Both MRA techniques are inferior to brain DSA in localizing arterial occlusions in LVO-AIS patients despite addressing the migratory nature of the thrombus.PMID:35148908 | DOI:10.1016/j.neurol.2021.12.009

Association between Short-Term Blood Pressure Variability and Intracranial Atherosclerotic Plaque Vulnerability: A High-Resolution Magnetic Resonance Imaging Study
CONCLUSION: nighttime diastolic BP CV and 24-h BPVR were associated with intracranial IPH independently, especially in the elderly and subjects with hypertension.PMID:34707024 | DOI:10.5551/jat.63164
