Thrombolytic Utilization in Ischemic Stroke Is Significantly Higher in US Hospitals with Neurology Residency Program (S02.006)
CONCLUSIONS: Stroke care at NR hospitals is associated with an increased thrombolytic utilization rate. Thrombolytic utilization for ischemic stroke in US hospitals with neurology residency program
Conclusions: Acute stroke care in NR hospitals is associated with an increased thrombolytic utilization. The disparities between the thrombolysis rate in NR and that in OT and NT hospitals are greater among elderly patients.

Predictive Risk Factors of In-Hospital Mortality Following Acute Stroke in the United States: Data from the Nationwide Inpatient Database, 2006-2010 (P02.015)
CONCLUSIONS: The rate of in-hospital mortality is relatively high following acute stroke (8.42%). We identified multiple risk factors of in-hospital mortality in acute stroke patients. The strongest risk factor is the type stroke (hemorrhagic). Early Access to a Neurologist Reduces the Rate of Missed Diagnosis in Young Strokes
Conclusions: Young adults with ischemic stroke seen at hospitals with a neurology residency had a lower missed diagnosis rate. The presence of an EM resident or a neurology teaching program was associated with a greater use of acute stroke therapies. These results support initiatives to triage young adults with suspected acute stroke to hospitals with access to neurologic expertise in the emergency department.

Rate of Utilization and Determination of Withdrawal of Care among Acute Ischemic Stroke Patient Treated with Thrombolytics (P02.002)
CONCLUSIONS: Our results identify several individual and institution related factors that determine the use of "withdrawal of care" among thrombolytic treated ischemic stroke patients. Intravenous thrombolytic therapy for acute anterior ischemic stroke: Experience at the French Military Teaching Hospital in Toulon from 2003 to 2014.
CONCLUSION: After 12 years of practice, our stroke unit has produced results similar to those of the major clinical studies in terms of safety and efficacy. High NIHSS scores on admission and a lack of neurological improvement during the first 24h of thrombolysis due to failure of early recanalization were identified as independent predictive factors of poor functional outcomes. Methotrexate-Induced Stroke-Like Encephalopathy: Beware the Stroke Mimic
We report a case of methotrexate (MTX)-induced stroke-like encephalopathy in an 18-year-old woman, with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, who developed a sudden neurological deficit mimicking a cerebrovascular event. Bain MRI showed hyperintensities on diffusion-weighted-imaging (DWI) with matching apparent diffusion coefficient hypointensities, which also represent the commonest MRI findings in acute cerebral infarction.
