P124/272 Initial encounter with a cutting-edge mobile head CT scanner (Somatom On.site) in a neuro-intensive care unit
ConclusionThe study demonstrates the clinical effectiveness of modern mobile CT scanners in neurointensive care units. The Somatom On.site provides sufficient image quality, saves time and supports timely decision making. The integration of mobile CT scanners in NICUs improves patient care and workflow. Prospective studies are needed to validate these findings and assess the long-term impact in NICUs and other units, such as stroke units.Disclosure of InterestCK serves as consultants for Acandis GmbH (Pforzheim, Germany) and proctor for MicroVention Inc./Sequent Medical (Aliso Viejo, CA, USA).

Evaluation of pure subarachnoid hemorrhage after mechanical thrombectomy in a series of 781 consecutive patients
CONCLUSION: We suggest that dual-energy computed tomography could better distinguish between blood and pure contrast stagnation. Still, SAH was not associated with an unfavorable outcome in stroke patients undergoing thrombectomy.PMID:36916147 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231163046

Cerebellar Superficial Siderosis in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy on 1.5T T2*-Weighted Imaging
Conclusions: Cerebellar SS in CAA patients can be identified on 1.5T T2*-weighted imaging. Associated MRI characteristics suggest contamination from supratentorial macrobleeds.Cerebrovasc Dis

Exploratory study to assess feasibility of intracerebral hemorrhage detection by point of care cranial ultrasound
ConclusionsOur exploratory analysis yielded preliminary data on use of point of care cranial ultrasound for ICH diagnosis to inform imaging techniques, cranial topography on B mode and sample size estimation for future studies to evaluate sensitivity and specificity of cranial POCUS in adult patients. This pilot study is limited by small sample size and over representation of ICH in the study. Cranial POCUS is feasible using POCUS machines and may have potential as a screening tool if validated in adequately powered studies.

P08 Detection of cerebral aneurysms in unenhanced CT images of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage using the sparing aneurysm sign (SAS)
ConclusionsThe aneurysm location and size can be determined in unenhanced CT images in many cases using the new SAS (sparing aneurysm sign). Whereas quantitative measurements of HU can support the aneurysm detection.ReferencesConnolly ES, Rabinstein AA, Carhuapoma JR, et al. ASPECT Score and Its Application to Vasospasm in Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Haemorrhage: a Case –Control Study
AbstractDelayed cerebral ischaemia (DCI) is a significant complication of aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH) and is strongly associated with poorer outcome. The Alberta Stroke Program Early Computer Tomography (ASPECT) score is an established scoring tool, used in acute ischaemic stroke, to quantify early ischaemic changes on CT head scans. We aim to identify if ASPECT scoring correlates with functional outcome in DCI following aSAH. Retrospective case –control study. Inclusion criteria: admission to the Department of Neurosurgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (a tertiary neurosurgical centre in the Unite...

E-108 Ruptured intracranial aneurysm presenting as isolated acute subdural hemorrhage
ConclusionIn rare cases, ruptured intracranial aneurysms can be associated with isolated subdural hemorrhage. Common treatment options include endovascular coiling and microsurgical clipping. However, endovascular repair is often preferred especially when the patient may not be able to tolerate a surgical procedure, as was the case with this patient. In this case, the patient presented with stroke-like symptoms and was found to have a subdural hemorrhage. After emergent craniotomy to evacuate the hematoma, successful endovascular coiling was performed, and the patient was stabilized for further management>Disclosures D....

E-192 Association of myeloperoxidase-DNA complexes and high mobility group box 1 protein with delayed cerebral ischemia following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
High mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) serves as a key player in aseptic inflammation. Admission serum HMGB1 has been identified as a biomarker predictive of delayed cerebral ischemia following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). Released by leucocytes and platelets, HMGB1 induces neutrophils to release condensed chromatin and protein granules, termed neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs). Myeloperoxidase (MPO)-DNA complexes are one major NET biomarker and have been associated with arterial and venous thrombosis formation. The prevalence and role of MPO-DNA in aSAH remains to be determined.A post-hoc analysis of ...

P-025 Evaluation of pure subarachnoid hemorrhage after mechanical thrombectomy in a series of 781 consecutive patients
ConclusionSubarachnoid hyperdensity in head CT scans within the first 24 hours after mechanical thrombectomy is relatively archetypal. The issue arises in discriminating between pure contrast stagnation and other bleeding types to conduct a more specific treatment for patients with such complications, even though SAH post-thrombectomy carries a favorable prognosis.Disclosures V. Epidemiology, investigation, management, and outcome  of headache in emergency departments (HEAD study)-A multinational observational study
CONCLUSION: Diagnosis and management of headache in the ED is challenging. A small group of patients have a serious secondary cause for their symptoms. There is wide variation in the use of neuroimaging and treatments. Further work is needed to understand the variation in practice and to better inform international guidelines regarding emergent neuroimaging and treatment.PMID:34726783 | DOI:10.1111/head.14230
