Association Between Intensity of Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Reduction With Statin-Based Therapies and Secondary Stroke Prevention: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials

Association of Stroke Subtype With Hemorrhagic Transformation Mediated by Thrombectomy Pass: Data From the ANGEL-ACT Registry
CONCLUSIONS: Stroke subtype is an independent risk factor for HT within 24 hours following endovascular treatment among acute large vessel occlusion patients. Potential association between bacterial infections and ischemic stroke based on fifty case-control studies: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: In this meta-analysis, a significant relationship was observed between infection by three bacteria such as C. pneumoniae, H. pylori, and M. tuberculosis with the occurrence of ischemic stroke. Early Versus Delayed Non-Vitamin K Antagonist Oral Anticoagulant Therapy After Acute Ischemic Stroke in Atrial Fibrillation (TIMING): A Registry-Based Randomized Controlled Noninferiority Study
CONCLUSIONS: Early initiation was noninferior to delayed start of NOAC after acute ischemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. Stroke After Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients With ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction: Timing, Characteristics, and Clinical Outcomes Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusions— Stroke is an infrequent complication in the setting of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction treated with primary PCI but is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Conclusions Incident ischaemic stroke complications have increased over time, whilst haemorrhagic stroke complications have decreased, driven through changes in clinical, procedural, drug-treatment, and demographic factors. Both ischaemic and haemorrhagic strokes are rare but devastating complications with high 30-day mortality and in-hospital MACE rates.

Use of Intravenous Recombinant Tissue Plasminogen Activator in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients Taking Non-Vitamin K Antagonist Oral Anticoagulants (NOACs) Before Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: -While experience of using rt-PA in ischemic stroke patients on a NOAC is limited, these preliminary observations suggest that rt-PA appears to be reasonably well tolerated without prohibitive risks for adverse events among selected NOAC treated patients.
