Ischemic Stroke After Treatment of Intraprocedural Thrombosis During Stent-Assisted Coiling and Flow Diversion Brief Report
Conclusions—Current protocols for treatment of intraprocedural thrombosis associated with placement of intra-arterial devices were effective in preventing ischemic stroke in ≈80% of cases. Current smoking was the only independent predictor of ischemic stroke.

White Matter Hyperintensity Volume and Outcome of Mechanical Thrombectomy With Stentriever in Acute Ischemic Stroke Brief Report
Conclusions—Mechanical thrombectomy using stentrievers seems to be safe in selected patients with acute ischemic stroke with large vessel occlusion, nonwithstanding the severity of WMH burden in this population. Larger prospective studies are warranted to validate these findings.

Transition of European Cooperative Acute Stroke Study III Results to Clinical Practice: Ninety-Day Outcomes in a US Cohort Brief Reports
Conclusions— For patients treated with intravenous tissue-type plasminogen activator 3 to 4.5 hours from onset in everyday practice in the United States, there is no evidence for increased risk or worse outcomes compared with standard treatment ≤3 hours.

Acute Kidney Injury Is Associated with Increased Hospital Mortality after Stroke
Conclusions: AKI occurs frequently after stroke and is associated with increased hospital mortality. Additional studies are needed to establish if the association is causal and if measures to prevent AKI would result in decreased mortality.

Symptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage after IV tPA for Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients with Relative Contraindications to Treatment (P4.267)
Conclusions:12 AIS patients with Class 3 exclusion criteria were treated with IV tPA. Our eight cases of IV tPA in pICH patients adds substantially to the existing literature. In this study, 25% of patients with pICH developed symptomatic ICH after IV tPA. Although the low number of eligible patients limits interpretation of our findings, continued caution when considering IV tPA for AIS patients with pICH may be warranted. Stroke Mimics under the Drip-and-Ship Paradigm
Conclusion: The drip-and-ship paradigm and any psychiatric history predict the diagnosis of SM. None of the SM had thrombolysis-related complications, and all were discharged to home. These findings may explain the superior outcomes associated with the drip-and-ship paradigm in the treatment for AIS.
