Clinical Significance of Delirium With Catatonic Signs in Patients With Neurological Disorders
CONCLUSIONS: Delirium is a common complication of neurological diseases, and it can coexist with catatonia. The recognition of catatonic delirium has clinical significance in terms of etiology, as it was significantly associated with viral and anti-NMDAR encephalitis.PMID:35040665 | DOI:10.1176/appi.neuropsych.18120364

Sufentanil alleviates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting inflammation and protecting the blood-brain barrier in rats
Stroke is a brain system disease with a high fatality rate and disability rate. About 80% of strokes are ischemic strokes. Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI) caused by ischemic stroke seriously affects the prognosis of stroke patients. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of sufentanil (SUF) on CIRI model rats. We used middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) to make the CIRI model in rats and monitored region cerebral blood flow (rCBF) to ensure that blood flow was blocked and recanalized. We used ELISA and RT-PCR to detect the expression of inflammatory factors in rat serum and brain tissue. In ...

The relationship between malignant tumors and ischemic stroke: I. Thrombosis development and shared risk factors
Orv Hetil. 2022 Jan 2;163(1):3-11. doi: 10.1556/650.2021.32328.

Troxerutin Abrogates Ischemic/Reperfusion-Induced Brain Injury through Ameliorating Oxidative Stress and Neuronal Inflammation by Inhibiting the Expression of NLRP3 in Sprague Dawley Rats
J Environ Pathol Toxicol Oncol. 2021;40(4):11-19. doi: 10.1615/JEnvironPatholToxicolOncol.2021038860.ABSTRACTCerebral ischemic reperfusion (I/R) infarction is mostly associated with serious brain injury, cognitive damage, and neurological deficits. The oxidative stress mechanisms in the neurological region lead to higher reactive oxygen species production followed by oxidative stress, inflammation of neurons, and death of brain cells. The current work aims to evaluate the effect of troxerutin (TXN) on cerebral injury stimulated by I/R-induced ischemic stroke and examines the mechanistic effect of TXN on neuroinflammation i...
