Molecules, Vol. 26, Pages 4919: The Inhibitory Effect of Sulforaphane on Bladder Cancer Cell Depends on GSH Depletion-Induced by Nrf2 Translocation
In this study, human bladder cancer T24 cells were used as in vitro model for revealing the inhibitory effect and its potential mechanism of SFN on cell growth. Here, a low dose of SFN (2.5 µM) was shown to promote cell proliferation (5.18–11.84%) and migration in T24 cells, whilst high doses of SFN (>10 µM) inhibited cell growth significantly. The induction effect of SFN on nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (Nrf2) expression at both low (2.5 µM) and high dose (10 µM) was characterized by a bell-shaped curve. Nrf2 and glutathione (GSH) might be the underlying mechanism in the effect of SFN on T24...

Fisetin Ameliorates the Inflammation and Oxidative Stress in Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Endometritis
CONCLUSION: In conclusion, fisetin effectively protected against LPS-induced oxidative stress and inflammatory responses which may be closely correlated to inhibition of TLR4-mediated ROS/NF-κB and activation of the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway.PMID:34262322 | PMC:PMC8275103 | DOI:10.2147/JIR.S314130

The anti-melanogenic effects of ellagic acid through induction of autophagy in melanocytes and suppression of UVA-activated α-MSH pathways via Nrf2 activation in keratinocytes.
In conclusion, ellagic acid is an effective skin-whitening agent and might be used as a topical applicant. PMID: 33545118 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Luteolin Ameliorates Testis Injury and Blood –Testis Barrier Disruption through the Nrf2 Signaling Pathway and by Upregulating Cx43
ConclusionLuteolin is identified as a novel active ingredient that contributes to the protective activity in testicular damage through activating the Nrf2 signaling pathway and by upregulating Cx43.

Chalcone flavokawain A attenuates TGF- β1-induced fibrotic pathology via inhibition of ROS/Smad3 signaling pathways and induction of Nrf2/ARE-mediated antioxidant genes in vascular smooth muscle cells.
In this study, flavokawain A (FKA, 2-30 μM), a naturally occurring chalcone in kava extracts, was evaluated for its anti-fibrotic and antioxidant properties in TGF-β1-stimulated vascular smooth muscle (A7r5) cells, as well as its underlying molecular mechanism of action. Immunofluorescence data showed down-regulated F-actin expression with FKA treatment in TGF-β1-stimulated A7r5 cells. Western blotting demonstrated that FKA treatment suppressed the expression of α-SMA and fibronectin proteins under TGF-β1 stimulation. Findings from wound-healing and invasion experiments showed that FKA inhibits TGF-β1-mediated migra...
