The role of PGRMC2 in the trophoblast invasion
In conclusion, PGRMC2 plays a role in placentation by promoting cell proliferation, invasion, and angiogenesis in EVTs via activation of HIF1α signaling. We thus identified a new function of PGRMC2 and provide insights on understanding the mechanisms of trophoblast invasion.PMID:37665239 | DOI:10.1093/biolre/ioad109

Fine particulate matter promotes airway inflammation and mucin production by activating endoplasmic reticulum stress and the IRE1 α/NOD1/NF‑κB pathway
Int J Mol Med. 2023 Oct;52(4):96. doi: 10.3892/ijmm.2023.5299. Epub 2023 Sep 1.ABSTRACTFine particulate matter (PM2.5) is a type of small particle that is <2.5 µm in diameter that may cause airway inflammation. Thus, the present study aimed to explore the effects of PM2.5 on endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and airway inflammation in human airway epithelial cells. For this purpose, HBE135‑E6E7 airway epithelial cells were cultured and exposed to specific concentrations of PM2.5 for various periods of time, and cell viability was determined using a Cell Counting Kit‑8 assay. The results of the present study demonst...

GSE164330 Examining SRP pathway function in mRNA localization to the endoplasmic reticulum
Contributors : Jessica R Child ; Alex C Hofler ; Qiang Chen ; Brenda H Yang ; JohnCarlo Kristofich ; Tianli Zheng ; Molly M Hannigan ; Andew L Elles ; Christopher V NicchittaSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensSignal recognition particle (SRP) pathway function in secretory/membrane protein translocation across the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is well-established; its role in mRNA localization to the ER in mammalian cells remains largely unexplored. We address this question in SRP receptor (SR) knockout mammalian cell lines. SRPRB KO cells were generated by CRISPR editing. SR...
