GSE163164 Gene expression profiling of AGS Gastric Cancer cells upon YY1 knock down
Contributors : B DIVYA ; G KUMARESANSeries Type : Expression profiling by arrayOrganism : Homo sapiensYin Yang 1 (YY1) is a ubiquitous transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins regulating diverse biological processes including cell proliferation, development, DNA damage responses and also involved in carcinogenesis. The protein is involved in repressing and activating a diverse number of promoters. In order to study the role of the transcription factor YY1 in gastric cancer, transcriptome wide gene expression analysis was performed upon silencing the YY1 gene in gastric cancer cell line...

High Expression of DEPDC1 Promotes Malignant Phenotypes of Breast Cancer Cells and Predicts Poor Prognosis in Patients With Breast Cancer
In this study, the immunohistochemistry results demonstrated that DEPDC1 was high-expressed in breast cancer tissues compared with the paired adjacent normal breast tissues, and its tendency at protein level was consistent with mRNA level from TCGA data. Moreover, DEPDC1 mRNA level revealed the strongest association with poor prognosis and development in breast cancer. In vitro assays showed that DEPDC1 overexpression resulted in significant promotion of proliferation by regulating cell cycle in MCF-7 cells, whilst an opposite effect was found in the MDA-MB-231 cells with DEPDC1 deletion. Notably, further investigation ind...

Regulation of Proliferation and Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) of Gastric Cancer by ZEB1 via Modulating Wnt5a and Related Mechanisms.
CONCLUSIONS ZEB1 expression is increased in GC tumor tissues and is associated with pathological features. The downregulation of ZEB1 can facilitate cell apoptosis via mediating Wnt5a, further suppressing GC cell proliferation and migration, and reducing EMT occurrence. Neogenin-1 Promotes Cell Proliferation, Motility, and Adhesion by Up-Regulation of Zinc Finger E-Box Binding Homeobox 1 Via Activating the Rac1/PI3K/AKT Pathway in Gastric Cancer Cells
Conclusions: Neo1 could promote cell proliferation, motility, and adhesion by up-regulation of ZEB1 via activating the Rac1/PI3K/AKT pathway in GC cells.Cell Physiol Biochem 2018;48:1457 –1467
