Erratum to: Inhibition of chemotherapy-related breast tumor EMT by application of redox-sensitive siRNA delivery system CSO-ss-SA/siRNA along with doxorubicin treatment
J Zhejiang Univ Sci B. 2022 Feb 15;23(2):171-172. doi: 10.1631/jzus.B19e0468.ABSTRACTThe online version of the original article can be found at https://doi.org/10.1631/jzus.B1900468 The original version of this article (Liu et al., 2020) unfortunately contained some mistakes. 1. Figs. 7c and 7d in p.229 were incorrect. The upper left and bottom left pictures in Fig. 7c were accidentally duplicated with the pictures at the same position of Fig. 1a. The upper right and bottom right pictures were mistakenly placed in Fig. 7c. Therefore, the calculation results in Fig. 7d were also mistaken. The correct versions should be as f...

Multiscale modeling of the cellular uptake of C6 peptide-siRNA complexes
In this study, multiscaled computational simulations of these peptides were performed in aqueous media, interrogating the relationship between the structure and behaviour. All atom molecular dynamic (MD) simulation results show that all CPPs show stable α-helical amphipathic secondary structures. Furthermore, docking calculations indicate that the C6 peptides can fit into the major groove of the siRNA double-helix, and once filled, could bind randomly along the minor grooves and to other, previously bound peptides. Coarse grained MD simulations were also used to generate free energy profiles for the dimerization of peptid...

Regulation of Pro-Inflammatory Macrophage Polarization via Lipid Nanoparticles Mediated Delivery of Anti-Prostaglandin-E2 siRNA
Curr Issues Mol Biol. 2022 Dec 20;45(1):1-11. doi: 10.3390/cimb45010001.ABSTRACTPro-inflammatory macrophage polarization is crucial in acute inflammatory diseases like Acute lung injury (ALI), and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is believed to promote inflammation in such cases. Therefore, our study aimed to deliver anti-prostaglandin E synthase 2 small interfering RNA antibodies (anti-PGE2-siRNA) through lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) in RAW264.7 (The murine macrophage cell line) to find a possible cure to the acute inflammatory diseases. LNPs were synthesized by using thin layer evaporatio...

Effect of the combination of cationic lipid and phospholipid on gene-knockdown using siRNA lipoplexes in breast tumor cells and mouse lungs
Mol Med Rep. 2023 Oct;28(4):180. doi: 10.3892/mmr.2023.13067. Epub 2023 Aug 18.ABSTRACTPreviously, using three types of cationic lipids, the effect of phospholipids in liposomal formulations on gene-knockdown efficacy was determined after in vitro and in vivo transfection with small interfering RNA (siRNA)/cationic liposome complexes (siRNA lipoplexes) containing various cationic lipids and phospholipids. In the present study, six other types of cationic lipids, namely N,N-dimethyl-N-tetradecyltetradecan-1-aminium bromide, N-hexadecyl-N,N-dimethylhexadecan-1-aminium bromide (DC-1-16), 2-[bis{2-(tetradecanoyloxy)ethyl}amino...

Resetting of the 24-nt siRNA landscape in rice zygotes
Genome Res. 2021 Dec 23:gr.275981.121. doi: 10.1101/gr.275981.121. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe zygote, a totipotent stem cell, is crucial to the life cycle of sexually reproducing organisms. It is produced by the fusion of two differentiated cells - the egg and sperm, which in plants have radically different siRNA transcriptomes from each other, and from multicellular embryos. Due to technical challenges, the epigenetic changes that accompany the transition from differentiated gametes to totipotent zygote are poorly understood. Since siRNAs serve as both regulators and outputs of the epigenome, we performed here the ...
