γ-tocopherol methyltransferase gene sequencing and SNP discovery associated with olive oil quality
Cell Mol Biol (Noisy-le-grand). 2023 Aug 31;69(8):111-117. doi: 10.14715/cmb/2023.69.8.17.ABSTRACTγ-tocophérol methyltransferase (GTMT), a key enzyme in the tocopherols biosynthesis pathway, is involved in the conversion of δ- and l'γ-tocophérol to β- et l'α-tocophérol, respectively. In fact, it plays an important role in the α-tocopherol composition and the quality of olive oil. A total of 14 olive tree cultivars (Olea Europaea L.) were chosen and used in this study. They were sampled from different regions of Tunisia. Four cultivars from four Mediterranean regions (Greece, Algeria, Morocco, and Spain) were inclu...

Mental Health Screening Differences in Non-English Speaking Patients: Results From a Retrospective Cohort Study
CONCLUSIONS: Results highlight the inequities between the language groups that are probably the result of the challenges to access multilingual depression and anxiety screening instruments. Furthermore, providers may be prone to bias about who they think "needs" a mental health screening. We suggest that measures are implemented to ensure consistency in mental health screening regardless of a patients' preferred language.PMID:37714820 | DOI:10.1177/21501319231200304
