Cancers, Vol. 14, Pages 4642: Radiation Recall Pneumonitis: A Rare Syndrome That Should Be Recognized
En Wu Radiation recall pneumonitis (RRP) is a rare but severe condition which has been mainly detected in the previously irradiated lung of patients with cancer after administering inciting agents, most commonly antineoplastic regimens including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy. More recently, coronavirus disease vaccines were found to induce RRP. In addition to typical radiation pneumonitis (RP) or drug-induced interstitial lung disease, the management of RRP requires withholding inciting agents and steroid therapy. Thus, the occurrence of RRP could significantly impact cancer treatment, given that inc...

Therapeutic prospects of ceRNAs in COVID-19
Since the end of 2019, COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 has spread worldwide, and the understanding of the new coronavirus is in a preliminary stage. Currently, immunotherapy, cell therapy, antiviral therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine have been applied in the clinical treatment of the new coronavirus; however, more efficient and safe drugs to control the progress of the new coronavirus are needed. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs), and circular RNAs (circRNAs) may provide new therapeutic targets for novel coronavirus treatments. The first aim of this paper is to review research progress on COVID-19 in the re...

Anti-signal Recognition Particle Antibody-positive Immune-mediated Myopathy after mRNA-1273 SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination
Intern Med. 2022 Sep 13. doi: 10.2169/internalmedicine.0404-22. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA 26-year-old Japanese woman developed a fever, myalgia and gait disturbance one day after receiving the second dose of the mRNA-1273 severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccine. A neurological examination revealed symmetrical weakness and myalgia in proximal lower limbs, and a blood examination showed prominent elevation of creatinine kinase. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a high signal intensity in the thigh muscles on short-tau inversion recovery images, and antibody testing revealed positive...

MOG encephalomyelitis after vaccination against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2): case report and comprehensive review of the literature
ConclusionsMOG-EM with postvaccinal onset was mostly observed after vaccination with ChAdOx1-S/ChAdOx1 nCoV-19. Attack severity was often high at onset. Escalation of immunotherapy was frequently required. MOG-IgG persisted in the long term.

mRNA delivery technologies: Toward clinical translation
Int Rev Cell Mol Biol. 2022;372:207-293. doi: 10.1016/bs.ircmb.2022.04.010. Epub 2022 Jul 7.ABSTRACTMessenger RNA (mRNA)-therapies have recently taken a huge step toward clinic thanks to the first mRNA-based medicinal products marketed. mRNA features for clinical purposes are improved by chemical modifications, but the inclusion in a delivery system is a regular requirement. mRNA nanomedicines must be designed for the specific therapeutic purpose, protecting the nucleic acid and facilitating the overcoming of biological barriers. Polymers, polypeptides, and cationic lipids are the main used materials to design mRNA deliver...
