Addressing the end-of-life actions in the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (2nd edn): a national survey
ConclusionEnablers and barriers in implementing the six end-of-life care actions were identified. Respondents reported that high-level support and direction, system-wide approaches, practical clinical support, and widespread community and clinician engagement would enable their facility to better address the end-of-life actions.PMID:37704436 | DOI:10.1071/AH22136

Forecasting the renewable energy consumption of Australia by a novel grey model with conformable fractional opposite-direction accumulation
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Sep 13. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-29706-z. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe accurate prediction of renewable energy consumption (REC) is of great significance to ensure energy security, reduce dependence on fossil energy, and promote sustainable economic and social development. In this paper, a novel grey model with conformable fractional opposite-direction accumulation (CFOA), abbreviated as the CFOGM (1,1) model, is proposed to forecast REC in Australia. The new model is discussed in detail with a new CFOA operation and the GM (1,1) model and can take full advantage of the information carr...

< em > In silico < /em > genotyping of blood group alleles using WGS data: a comparative study of the Orang Asli in Peninsular Malaysia
This study reports four alleles (rs12075, rs7683365, rs586178 and rs2298720) of DUFFY, MNS, RH and KIDD blood group systems which were significantly distinct between indigenous Orang Asli and cosmopolitanMalaysians. Eighteen alleles that belong to 14 blood group systems were found statistically distinct in comparison to global population datasets. Although not much significant differences were observed in phenotypes of most blood group systems, major insights were observed when comparing Orang Asli with aboriginal Australians and cosmopolitanMalaysians. This study serves as the first of its kind to utilize genomic data to i...

Orthopaedic surgery academic productivity - how do we measure up?
CONCLUSION: Our objective data provides a factual comparison and baseline assessment of one aspect of research productivity. It can challenge currently held perceptions of performance and can inform conversations about strategic development. We recommend this assessment to other international Colleges and Societies on regular basis. These accurate academic productivity metrics provide opportunity for developing and maintaining a culture of sustained, significant contribution to surgical research.PMID:37697488 | DOI:10.1177/10225536221135471
